Dr. Florence Pasche Guignard

Florence Pasche Guignard is assistant professor at the Faculty of theology and religious studies at the Université Laval in Quebec City. She holds a PhD in religious studies from the Université de Lausanne (Switzerland) and has completed her postdoctoral research at the University of Toronto (Canada). She researches and teaches on topics at the intersection of religions and spiritualities with the history of women, gender, embodiment, ritual, media and material culture, in historical and contemporary contexts, often with a comparative dimension. Her most recent interdisciplinary work focuses on motherhood in religious contexts, and she also has published on traditional and emerging ritualizations of pregnancy, and childbirth, as well as on the spiritual dimensions of fertility awareness and its digitalization.
