Author Biography
Ariane Kovac is a research associate at the Center for Religious Studies (CERES) at Ruhr University Bochum. As part of the research project “REDiCON,” she explores the reception of Christian social media influencers in Germany. Moreover, she is currently finalizing her dissertation on emotions and therapeutization in contemporary evangelicalism in the U.S. at the Institute for the Study of Religions at Leipzig University. Her research foci are: Contemporary Christianity in the U.S. and in Germany; Digital religion, especially social media and digital church; Religion and medicine, healing, and therapeutization.
