Jochen Mündlein holds a Bachlor's degree in Social Welfare Work undertaken by the Lutheran church and a Master's Degree in the Study of Religions/Cultural Studies from the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich. He is currently writing a PhD thesis on Science Fiction films as spaces of existential anthropological questions.
In her new book Komm und sieh. Religion im Film. Analysen und Modelle (2020) Inge Kirsner examines the possibilities of religious film interpretations at the beginning of the 21st century.
