Abstract

The editorial of the first issue of the Journal for Religion, Film and Media focusses on methodology in the scientific field of religion and media. The issue highlights the crucial role of the interdependancies between selected sources, research questions, and cultural context concerning the choice of methods. The gathered approaches in this issue share a common concern: they involve reflection on methodological steps used to analyse interactions always characterised by non-linear and multi-causal relations. Each of the three main sections contains a key article and two responses.
